Apu Jan bhis the Founder of label APUJAN and was raised and born in Taiwan. Graduating from Fu Jen Catholic University, his lines specialise in womenswear knitwear. He later attended Royal College of Art for Knitwear Womenswear Masters Degree.
Quick to rise up the success later, he began to showcase his talent at London Fashion Week and has displayed his collection for over five seasons. Alongside LFW, he also participates in Paris Fashion Week, Licensing International in New York, Fashionclash in Maastricht, Amsterdam and many more.

Within his collection, he has incorporated his knowledge of Asia’s knitwear industry and adds a touch of oriental art combined with western fashion.
Having garnered a lot of attention from the Taiwanese media, he is viewed as one of the youngest up and coming designers. Additionally, he was also selected to be one of the top ten most influential designers for Shopping Design Magazine and selected by GQ Taiwan as one of the Men of the Year.

Some of his collection has also been featured in WALLPAPER, Vogue UK and many more. However, it doesn’t stop there for the talented designer as many celebrities have also been spotted wearing his designs!
APUJAN’s show may well have been the hottest Fashion Scout ticket, having had almost 150 people turned away. His fan base is huge and we definitely think he’s the next biggest thing!

So what did his AW16 collection consist of? Well, it looked like his line explored emotion through beautiful knitwear and patterns. Crochet hats were the primary look in APUJAN’s whole line and where this didn’t exist, models had sleek braids in their hair. Models strutted down the runway in hats that all varied very slightly.

Gorgeous knitted dresses, jumpers and skirts also blessed the runway! Oversized stylish scarves were the vibrant addition to many of knitwear styles.
From figure-hugging to a-line, APUJAN had a versatile collection that had a garment suited for every woman.

His collection brought together the looks for two types of women; the simple woman and the bold. From long sleeved knitted jumpers to crop tops and slit skirts, there was something for everyone. The fusion of the two created a look different from so many and floral became apparent with these looks.

Vivacious floral jacquard prints were everywhere from tulip skirts and cocktail dresses to pleated coats! The shades of blue, black and pinks meant the looks were also versatile and fit with both day and evening looks.
His whole show came together, from the live music to the ever so enthusiastic crowd – he really is a celebrity and his show was extraordinary for sure!

So what is in? Well from APU JAN, we can definitely confirm that knitwear and floral is in. Cut outs. Oh and of course, crochet hats.  His collection proved that these work, whether it’s with woolly jumpers or a knitted dress – it became the perfect addition.
